Properties and benefits of Cholesterol Forte

Berberine is a natural alkaloid that works by regulating lipid metabolism, decreasing hepatic cholesterol and triglyceride synthesis and decreasing intestinal absorption of cholesterol. It also helps reduce cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL levels in the blood.

Its effect is enhanced by the joint action with fermented Red Yeast Rice, rich in monacolins (<5%) that inhibits endogenous cholesterol synthesis in the liver, as it acts on the enzyme that controls the rate of hepatic synthesis of cholesterol and triglycerides.

On the other hand, the olive tree inhibits the oxidation of LDL ("bad cholesterol") thanks to the high content of oleuropein (40%) of great antioxidant power, and prevents it from becoming a cardiovascular risk factor.

Milk thistle acts as a hepatoprotectant and helps lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Vitamin B6 helps increase HDL (or "good cholesterol") levels and lower cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL levels.

Folic acid lowers homocysteine levels, which helps with better vasodilation and less LDL oxidation.
