Properties and benefits of Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint is also known as lycopus europaeus or wolf mint, it comes from a hybridization of mentha aquatica and mentha viridis. It belongs to the large family of labiadas, widely distributed throughout the Mediterranean area. It has a long tradition in Greco-Roman culture. Mint is grown in many parts of the world, including Italy, the United States, Japan, and Great Britain. The U.S. produces more oil than any other country, but European essential oils are considered to be of superior quality to any other.

Peppermint is known in the kitchen as an aromatic herb, and it is one of the most commonly used spices. When cooking, it provides an aromatic and refreshing touch combined with its peculiar spicy flavor. It appears in a multitude of sweet foods, including chocolate with mint, and sweets. It is also part of numerous aromatic preparations such as Thai curries and mint sauce.

Ingredients: Lemon essential oil (Citrus limon peel oil).

Precautions: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep in a cool, dry place away from light. Keep out of reach of children.

How to use:

Oral/Internal: Always take diluted, 1-2 drops in 250g of food (juice, tea, salad). Maximum 3 times a day

Topical/External: Dilute to 60% (Equivalent to 3 drops of the essential oil in 5 drops of a vegetable oil base or similar) For local use, apply 1 to 2 drops of the 60% preparation to the skin, 3 times a day.

Diffusion: Depending on the diffuser device, 6 drops of the essential oil are poured over the diffuser container, alone or mixed with water.
